‘Taxi’ is a smou app service that allows you to request and pay for journeys with Taxi Ecològic, the Barcelona fleet made up entirely of electric and hybrid vehicles. This is the first operator to join this service.
 

Activate it using the lateral menu, in the ‘Services’ section. If this is the first service you have activated, you will have to register a bank card.

Once you have activated the service, select the ‘Taxi’ button on the lower menu of the smou app, choose your origin / destination and confirm your reservation. Remember, you must have the GPS function activated on your phone in order to request a taxi.
 

Yes, as many as you need. If you already have a reservation and you want to make another one, click on the ‘Taxi’ button in the app‘s lower menu. An informative message about your reservation will appear. Then you have to click on ‘Make another reservation’.

Yes, you only have to indicate their full name and a contact telephone number.

Yes. Once your journey has been confirmed, you can ask the taxi driver to call you. She or he will call the number associated with smou and, if the journey is for someone else, we will ask for their contact number before making the reservation.

Yes. You can schedule your reservation a maximum of fifteen days in advance.
Once you have selected your origin and destination, click on the ‘Continue’ button. In the reservation confirmation, click on the ‘Schedule the journey for another time’ option. A window will open where you can define the day of the journey and the time. Once selected, you have to click on the ‘Apply’ button and choose the desired fare in order to confirm your reservation.

There are two types of fares for journeys using ‘Taxi’:
- With the Fixed Price fare, you will pay a set price in advance via the app. This fare does not allow any intermediate stops nor any changes to origin / destination, nor packages or services with pets. 
- With the Taximeter fare, you will pay, via the app, the price indicated on the taximeter once you have completed your journey. The minimum fare for a journey is €10.

When you make a reservation with the ‘Taxi’ service, a pre-authorised bank payment is made for the maximum price of the journey. Once completed, payment for the corresponding amount is made.

With the Metered fare, the minimum amount is €8.

With the Taximeter fare, the minimum amount is €10 for immediate requests €15 for scheduled ones.

If you need to modify your reservation, you will have to cancel it and make a new one.

You can cancel your journey at no extra cost for the first 5 minutes after being assigned a taxi by the company. After that time, you will be charged €8 if you have selected the Fixed Price fare or €10 if you chose the Taximeter fare.

The assignment of a taxi by the company is usually immediate, subject to the availability of free vehicles in the pick-up area. Once your journey has been confirmed, the taxi company responsible for providing the service will notify you when the taxi driver is at the pick-up point, indicating the model, license plate, and license number of the taxi that will pick you up.

The taxis do not have car seats for children or babies, as there are multiple kinds of child seats according to their weight and height.

It is at each taxi driver‘s discretion whether they accept services where people travel with pets.

No, this operator hasn't adapted vehicles for transporting people in wheelchairs.

In the ‘Information and help’ section on the app‘s menu, select the ‘Technical Support’ option. You will find a form with which you can send us your claim. We will answer within a maximum period of 48 working hours.

With Taxi Ecològic's company, the pick-up point is Hotel AC Sants. To get there, find the McDonalds at the exit from Plaza Joan Peiró and, with your back to the restaurant, you will see Hotel AC Sants 20 metres in front of you.
 

With Taxi Ecològic's company, the pick-up points are as follows:

Terminal 1, Shuttle and Terminal 2A: your taxi will be waiting for you in the VT Zone, which is at the front of the taxi rank, going down one floor. Follow the signs for “TAXI”
Terminal 2B: find the Caballo de Botero [Botero‘s Horse] statue in the Arrivals Hall of Terminal 2B. Go outside through the revolving doors. Your taxi will be waiting for you in the VT Zone, which is on your left, before the pedestrian crossing.
Terminal 2C: from the Terminal, go outside. Use the pedestrian crossing and cross the line of taxis. You will find a car park a few metres away with vertical signage saying VIP. Your taxi will be waiting for you there.
