The smou app has won the "Be Connected" award at the 13th Automobile Barcelona Awards by El Periódico, as part of the Automobile Barcelona 2021 show.
The award recognises the best digitalisation project in the automotive sector, connectivity solutions, charging point management applications and navigation. With 30.8% of the votes, smou was the most highly rated solution. The other finalists in this category were Electromaps, Easycharger, Seat Code, Cellnex and I2Cat.
Marta Labata, CEO of B:SM, accepted the award on behalf of the whole team and thanked the users for trusting smou for their daily commute.
smou, an app in constant growth
More and more people are relying on smou to help them get around the city of Barcelona and the metropolitan area. Since its birth, the app has not stopped evolving and growing to adapt to the needs of its users.
Currently, smou has more than 450,000 users who make a total of 50,000 daily operations. In addition to the app's main services, such as parking meter payment via mobile phone, access to B:SM car parks by number plate reading, Bicing and Endolla, smou also integrates the information and location of the 16 shared mobility operators present in Barcelona, and shows the information and availability of parking spaces in B:SM, Saba and Bamsa car parks.
