At SMOU, we’re always working to offer you a better experience with every service. In the latest version of the app, we’ve improved the design and revamped the booking process to make using the taxi service faster, more intuitive, and tailored to your needs.
You can enjoy the new features by updating the app to the latest version on the App Store or Google Play.
With the new design, all booking options are integrated more smoothly into the process. Right from the start, you can select whether the ride is for you or someone else, choose if you want an immediate or scheduled taxi, and add your payment method and accept the terms of use during the booking. No need to activate the service in advance.
Booking a taxi, now even easier
How do I book?
- Select the ‘Taxi’ service from the bottom menu.
- Tap on ‘Enter your destination’ at the bottom of the map: you can choose a location saved in ‘Favourites’, type the address manually, or select a point on the map.
- Choose your pick-up point the same way as your destination.
- Fill in the trip details: whether it’s for now or later, and whether it’s for you or someone else.
- Accept the terms of use if you’ve never used the service before, and your booking will be confirmed.
Favourite destinations now work for ‘Taxi’ too
You can use your saved destinations in ‘Favourites’ to quickly set where you want to go.
Add ‘Taxi’ to the bottom menu
Pin the ‘Taxi’ service to the main screen’s bottom menu in SMOU so it’s always close at hand. To set it as your default:
- Tap the ‘More’ button in the bottom menu.
- Select ‘Customise’ in the top right-hand corner.
- You’ll see all available services. Drag them to choose the order you prefer.
- Mark ‘Taxi’ with a star to set it as a favourite — it’ll always appear when you open the app.
